Who we are

AEA Constructions was founded as a construction and design consultancy business in 1990 by the Alexiou Brothers and was incorporated in 1995. During this period we have consistently built luxury bespoke residential homes in Sydney. We have built both new homes and renovated homes, which have included major alterations and additions, with quality finishes and attention to detail. We are winners multiple building awards over the years. Some of these are MBA NSW “Excellence in Housing Awards” in 2012, 2009, 2006, 2004 & 2002 and HIA Housing Award Winners in 2009 and Finalists in 2009, 2006, 2004, 2003 & 2002. Houses we have built have also won major Royal Australian Institute of Architects Awards.

We believe that the success of any project depends on maintaining professional communication between all involved in the building and design process. We have the expertise, the ability, the experience and the track record to manage, build and complete residential projects ranging in valued from $100,000 up to $10 million. Building maintenance and minor projects valued less than $100,000 are assessed on an individual basis as required.

Key Personnel

Anthony Alexiou

Anthony Alexiou is the Managing Director of AEA Constructions which he founded in 1990.

Anthony continues to be actively involved on site on our building projects as Construction Manager. Anthony’s career in the building industry began immediately after graduating from Cranbrook School in Sydney when he was offered an apprenticeship at WJ Arnold. During his employment at WJ Arnold he obtained a Building & Construction Certificate and Carpentry & Joinery Trade Certificate from Sydney Technical College and is the holder of Department of Fair Trading Building Licence. Anthony’s management and organisational skills were developed at WJ Arnold where he successfully managed and completed a number of large building projects prior to starting his own company. Anthony’s technical expertise during the design process and experience & attention to detail during the construction process is exceptional. Anthony has a strong belief in providing quality work and continues to personally liaise with Architects and design teams on each project. He has been instrumental in the growth of AEA Constructions into an award winning, ethical and highly respected building company.

George Alexiou

George Alexiou is a Director and Senior Project Manager at AEA Constructions.

George studied for a Bachelor of Building degree from the University of New South Wales. George joined AEA Constructions in 1992 as our project manager, contracts administrator and chief estimator. Prior to joining AEA Constructions George spent five years working with Bankers Trust Australia Limited as their building officer maintaining their air conditioning, building maintenance and construction requirements for their expanding tenancy. George has guided AEA Constructions’ growth to an efficient and successful building company, both operationally and financially.

Damien Alexiou

Damien Alexiou is a Director and the Operations Manager of AEA Constructions.

Damien is the holder of a Department of Fair Trading Building Contractors Licence and has over 20 years of experience in the building industry. During his time in the building industry Damien has obtained a Carpentry & Joinery Trade Certificate and an Advanced Certificate in Building Supervision. Since joining AEA Constructions in 1993, Damien has skilfully lead many successful projects ranging from new builds to renovations & extensions of residential & commercial properties. His comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry ensures the precision and efficiency required to deliver finely crafted buildings. He has an eye for detail and the ability to present solutions that meet a diverse range of client needs.
